Haemodynamics Informing the Treatment of LVAD Patients (HIT LVAD)

Clinicians are in urgent need of being able to measure and understand subtle differences in the blood pressure, in-depth vascular haemodynamics and blood flow profiles in order to better identify risk, manage and treat implanted cf-LVAD patients. Therefore, the aim of this project is to undertake and develop a project consisting of 5 overlapping work packages (WP), in order to provide the much needed novel clinical evidence and innovative scientific understanding to better identify risk, treat and manage cf-LVAD patients in the EU, having collaborated with experts in the US, and across both academia and industry.

This Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship involves a 2 year collaboration Columbia University Medical Centre, New York who will host a Fellow from Cardiff Met.
