Teaching
Andrew Curnin's teaching areas include legal practice for regulators, food safety law and hygiene. He plays an active role at a national level with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health in the evolution of environmental health teaching and practice.
He has also delivered food hygiene programmes across the UK and Middle East as well as contributing to the design and delivery of the MSc Food Safety Management programme at Hong Kong University.
Research
He has completed a number of projects associated with food safety which involved collaboration with other academics, the Food Standards Agency and Welsh Government
Publications
Andrew has produced and contributed to several publications including a report for the Public Inquiry into the September 2005 E. coli O157 Outbreak in South Wales, chaired by Prof. Hugh Pennington, a panel member of the Food Standards Agency working group on qualifications to be recognised to undertake food hygiene inspections.

Andrew is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is also a member of the Welsh Heads of Environmental Health expert panel in Food Safety. He has also been appointed as an external examiner at number of Universities offering environmental health at degree level.
