The Mobility Grant

Please click the tabs below for further information including mobility durations, what the grant covers and much more.

Types of Mobilities

Types of mobilities available for students and staff from both the UK and Partner countries:

Student Mobility

  • Study mobility to and from International Partner Higher Education Institutions (outside of Europe) from 3 to 12 months.
  • Traineeships are not available as part of the International Credit Mobility Project.

Students may participate in mobility periods up to a maximum of 12 months for each cycle of study; this is independent from the number and type of mobility activities. Participation with a zero-grant from EU funds counts as well towards this maximum duration.

Staff Mobility

  • Staff mobility for teaching to and from Partner Countries
  • Staff mobility for training to and from Partner Countries

The duration of a staff mobility is 7 days, comprised of 5 days working and 2 travel days.

Funding can be used to support HEI staff engaged in both teaching and non-teaching roles. A teaching activity must include a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week.

The grant cannot be used to attend conferences.

For more information on staff mobility, please contact the Erasmus+ ICM coordinator.
