Students who have the following qualifications may be considered for direct entry onto relevant schemes at Cardiff Metropolitan University.​

Foundation Courses

Applicants with Rwanda National Examinations Council (Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education) with average 5 grade Cs an​d UKVI IELTS 4.5 will be considered for the International Foundation course. Students with this qualification and IELTS 6.0 can be considered for the Foundation year.

Undergraduate Courses

For applicants who follow A-Level or IB Diploma curriculum​

Postgraduate Courses

Students with a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in Rwanda with equivalent to 2:2 Second Lower class

Or masters degree will be considered for masters programme entry

Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies

Proficiency in English is essential for undergraduate study. If applicant's first language is not English we would expect the applicant to have one of the following English language qualifications:

GCSE/O-Level English grade C or above

IELTS 4.5 (4.0 in each area) is required for International Foundation course

IELTS score of 6.0 (5.5 in each area) is required for Undergraduate Courses (inc Year 0) and Postgraduate Courses*​

*Some courses may require a higher grade in English or IELTS
