Martin lectures on a wide variety of finance related topics. He has also taught extensively on hospitality management courses covering financial, economic, international, and contemporary aspects together with courses on the design of hospitality facilities. He was formerly dissertation coordinator for the department.
Educated at The University of Surrey he has previously worked for an international hotel company and a large firm of chartered accountants/management consultants. He has undertaken advisory work for numerous organisations.
His research interests include survival strategies for older and diverse student cohorts and has published and lectured in this field.
