Staff Overview

Mukul is currently the Associate Dean Partnerships (ADP) within the School of Management and is responsible for internationalisation strategy for the school. This involves leading the TNE portfolio for the school for the international partners (currently 16 partners across 14 countries) and international recruitment.

Before joining Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2003, Mukul worked in industry as a consultant ​and was involved in projects (within marketing and operations) with various organisations.

Prior to taking on the role of the ADP he has had close involvement with the MBA Programme over the years within the school and led the programme as the Programme Director.

Mukul has been involved in INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences), EuSpRIG (European Spreadsheets Risk Interest Group) and AIS (Academy of Information Systems). He is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). He is also a Fellow of the HEA (Higher Education Academy).

Academic Qualifications:

B. Tech. (Electronics and Communication Engineering Honours with Distinction), MBA, MSc (Information Systems). His PhD was in the field of Spreadsheets and Risk Management.​​

Besides academia, his other interests are listening to music, playing sports (with a keen interest in cricket) and travelling.

Teaching

​Over the years Mukul has been involved with a number of modules within the school such as Strategic Management, People and Organisations, International Management, Operations Management and Research Methods. He has also been involved with supervision of Postgraduate and Doctorate students.

Research

​His interest is within internationalisation in HE sectors and TNE.
