Following completion of my MA, I started my career in Higher Education in 2004, with the University of Wales, before moving to Cardiff University's School of Medicine in 2006. I was initially responsible for the organisation of student projects and placements, before becoming the Curriculum Team Leader, and subsequently the Admissions Team Leader for the School, organising Open Days, and marketing the School to colleges and schools. In 2010, I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University's School of Management as Programme Support Co-ordinator, leading the team responsible for the administration of all non-research programmes within the School.
Since starting employment in Cardiff Metropolitan University, I have taken responsibility for all aspects of attendance monitoring within the School, ensuring that the School adheres to UKVI regulations. I line manage a team of 7 Programme Support staff, and oversee the administration associated with all Undergraduate and Masters level programmes within the School; I liaise with other departments within the School to ensure the efficient and effective administration of procedures, such as Exam Boards, Mitigating Circumstances and Student Support.
I have also been "Highly Commended" in the Women in Leadership Category in the 2019 Leading Wales Awards.
