Sports Industry Hub
The Sport Industry Hub focuses on research, innovation, consultancy and education in sport management, academia and across the local, national and international sports industry.
Alongside established academics, many members of the team are early career researchers who’ve worked in sport, giving them valuable practical insight that shapes the Hub’s research and activities.
The Hub’s work revolves around:
- Generating and sharing knowledge
- Performance improvement and innovation consultancy
- Research-informed education opportunities
- Enhanced student experience and engagement
- Enhanced stakeholder interaction and partnership working
- Civic engagement
The Hub is part of the Centre for Sports Coaching, Management and Culture, which is based within the Cardiff School of Sport and Health Sciences.
Use Sport Industry’s Hub expertise
Harnessing decades of academic and industry experience, the Hub supports sporting organisations and businesses around the world to solve a range of challenges through its consultancy services. The support offered spans everything from improving performance to strategic development and innovation.
Depending on the project, these services can be staff-led, or student-led, with students working under close supervision from Hub experts. This hands-on approach provides invaluable real-world experience for our students, helping to mould the next generation of sport management professionals.
