Sport / Coaching Profile

Youth Strength and Conditioning

Sylvia currently leads the strength and conditioning (S&C) programme for young gymnasts' in the Youth Physical Development Centre. Her role includes enhancing gymnasts' physical performance and reducing their sport-related injury risk. She is also currently providing S&C provision for Valleys Gymnastics Club. Her previous youth S&C experience has involved physically preparing young athletes from a variety of other sports including: trampolining, tennis and rowing. Sylvia is also a UK Sport Tutor for 'How to Coach the Fundamentals of Movement.'

Women's Artistic Gymnastics

Sylvia has also coached artistic gymnastics for over 10 years and my experience has ranged from working with recreational gymnasts to preparing young gymnasts for selection into the Welsh development squad.
