Our support process

​The aim of support at university is to work with you as an individual to help develop your skills and confidence in order for you to get the most from your studies. We organise support so that you have equal access to all learning opportunities.

​1. Meet your advisor

Our Wellbeing Advisors can agree support, provide on-going reviews, advice and guidance throughout your time at Cardiff Met. The aim is to ensure that the support is always helping you get the most from your studies. See how our advisors can help you.

2. Obtain medical evidence

You can provide medical evidence to help us tailor the right support for you. All evidence is kept confidential and secure at Cardiff Met in line with data protection regulations. Find out more about obtaining medical evidence.

3. Apply for the Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA)

The DSA is a non-means tested fund which helps cover the cost of specialist disability support at university. Discover how to apply for the DSA.

4. Book a Study Needs Assessment

Our Assessment Centre can provide Study Needs Assessments which identify what support you need at university. How to book a Needs Assessment.

5. Access University led and DSA support
