Needs Assessment appointments

​To book a Needs Assessment please call 02920 205547 or email ssta@cardiffmet.ac.uk, or visit the Centre.

The Centre is located on the second floor of A block, Llandaff campus.

Before you attend your needs assessment appointment it is necessary that you have the following documents:

  • Relevant medical evidence
  • Funding body approval letter
  • Pre-assessment questionnaire.

It is necessary that we receive the documents at least five days before your appointment.

Sufficient evidence for a Specific Learning Difficulty would be a copy of your post 16 Educational Psychologist's report and for any other disability a letter from your doctor/consultant confirming you condition or a completed DSA evidence form. 

We aim to offer you an appointment for a Needs Assessment within a maximum of 15 days, although we often have earlier appointments.

Assessment times

Appointments are generally available Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3pm, however please contact us to discuss a suitable appointment for you.

How to find us

We are located on the second floor of A block on Llandaff Campus. You can enter through main reception, who will be able to direct you to Student Services. Find out how to get to Llandaff Campus.

Please aim to arrive at least ten minutes before your appointment. If you are unable to attend please contact us at the first opportunity so we can arrange an alternative date.
