Virtual Tour – Cardiff School of Technologies

The School of Technologies features a suite of dedicated high-tech labs and teaching spaces, open learning areas for collaborative working, a research hub for PhD students and social areas.

The spaces are modern and have been designed with flexibility in mind, so you can work, relax or socialise with other students. You can even let off some much-needed steam by playing a game of foosball or by trying to beat the highest score on our MAME video game machine. Experience VR like never before in our VR development booths and learn in a truly unique way.

The School is on an ambitious expansion journey that will see more cutting-edge facilities being developed in the coming years to support our learning, teaching and research.

“Engineering courses require a lot of hands-on practical work and Cardiff Met’s School of Technologies has catered to that brilliantly. Our course has specifically looked at a lot of different elements of circuit design and construction, programming and engineering mathematics. One of the most interesting assignments for me was programming a robot as a sentient ‘security guard’ that had the ability to scan ID cards to confirm someone’s identity!”
