I started working in the Learning and Development Unit at Cardiff Met in February 2015. Since then, much of my time has been spent conducting workshops about a variety of topics including Moodle, as well as developing online support materials. This has given me the opportunity to meet a large number of staff from the different Schools.
Over the years I have done a wide variety of jobs, in both the public and private sectors, including teaching and computer programming. I was able to combine these skills when I completed an MSc in Technology for Teaching and Learning and then became an Instructional Designer with another university. I then gained Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy before taking up my current role.
Outside of work, I have been training as a yoga teacher and run classes from time to time in my local church. I am also a member of my village sustainability group whose projects include establishing a forest garden in nearby woodland - very much a low tech activity!
