CARDIFF OPEN ART SCHOOL (COAS) TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

How to book: All Cardiff Open Art School courses can be booked and paid for online via Cardiff Metropolitan University’s online store using a valid credit or debit card. A place on the course will not be confirmed until payment has been received in full. Please note that, unless otherwise stated within the course description, our courses are open to those aged 18 or over.

When to book: Cardiff Open Art School will notify customers when termly courses are available to book via our website www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/artanddesign/coas via social media, and via email to those who have signed up to the COAS mailing list. Bookings can be taken only when the courses are live in the online store and bookings will close a week in advance of the advertised start date of each individual course. We advise customers to book onto their desired course as soon as it is made available, as places on each course are limited.

What next: Once online booking is complete, customers will receive an email confirming their payment transaction and an email confirming course details and joining instructions (to the address provided on booking). If customers have any further queries about the course after receiving the confirmation, they can contact us on coas@cardiffmet.ac.uk. Customers should not expect to receive further confirmation from COAS unless a course is changed or cancelled.

Refunds & Cancellations:

By signing up to a Cardiff Open Art School course, you agree to the below:

If, prior to the start of the course, there are insufficient numbers of students for the course to run, Cardiff Metropolitan University reserves the right to cancel the course. In any such cancellation situation, Cardiff Metropolitan University will pay you a full refund of your course fee but cannot be held liable for any other direct or consequential loss.

If you decide to not attend your course, once you have already booked and paid online, refunds will only be processed when written notification is received by email to coas@cardiffmet.ac.uk at least five working days prior to the course start date. Refunds will be provided back to the card originally used to pay the fee online. If you leave the course once it has started, we are not able to issue a refund unless circumstances are exceptional.

Transfer Requests:

Once a course has started, we may be able to offer you a transfer to another course under certain circumstances and only if the desired course is not full. You should submit a request to transfer your course in writing to coas@cardiffmet.ac.uk and this can be done no later than seven working days after the course start date. Transfers will not automatically be agreed in all circumstances. If a transfer is granted and the new course fee is the same, or lower, than your original course then there will be no charge. If the new course fee is higher, then the balance must be paid in full.
