What is the Global Opportunities Intercultural Award?
The Global Opportunities Intercultural Award offered by Global Opportunities provides Cardiff Met students the opportunity to obtain a global experience on campus, from the comfort of their own home. The award will focus on cultural fluency, digital skills and employability in a global context helping students to become a global citizen.
The programme will enhance intercultural awareness and knowledge of global issues through participation in a range of online sessions via Met Connect and virtual/physical activities throughout the year.
Goals
After completing the Intercultural Award, you will have:
- An understanding on how interpersonal skills can enhance your career prospects
- A better understanding of intercultural competencies and its four main components
- Enhance digital skills in a global context
- An understanding of cultural differences

Completion of the Award
Following completion of the Global Opportunities Intercultural Award students will be presented with a hard copy and digital Global Opportunities Intercultural Award certificate and also a digital badge.
Call for application
The 2023-24 call for application is now open and will close on the 6th November 2023.
