Staff Overview

Keith holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Business Management and Industrial Psychology), a Master of Business Leadership degree, and a Doctor of Business Leadership degree in Logistics.

He has also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.

In addition, Keith also holds a Government Certificate of Competency (Electronic/Electrical – Factories, in terms of the South African Occupational Health and Safety Act, and associated Regulations).

Keith has over 20 years industry experience. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Keith is currently applying for Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Keith has taught undergraduate and postgraduate modules. He has successfully supervised Masters students. Keith has served as supervisor for Masters and Doctoral students, as well as external examiner for various institutions. Furthermore, he has served as moderator for undergraduate and postgraduate modules for various institutions.

Teaching

Presenting lectures and assessing students in relevant academic subject/s in the field of logistics/supply chain management, and purchasing management, including Logistics II, Logistics III, and Supply Chain Management (SCM).

At a previous institution Keith was Subject Head for Logistics III, and Supply Chain Management V. As well as course coordinator for Postgraduate Diploma: SCM. Furthermore, he was the logistics/supply chain management chair for the logistics research section and the logistics postgraduate research degrees. In addition he served on the departmental research committee.

Research

Keith’s research interests include Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Maintenance Logistics (Integrated Logistics Support), Operations Management, Obsolescence, Reverse Logistics, ERP.

Keith has acted as supervisor for student research dissertations and theses. In addition Keith has also served as external examiner for Masters and PhD students.
