Kathryn Roberts to become an Honorary Fellow of Cardiff Metropolitan University

On Wednesday, April 6, Kathryn Roberts will become an Honorary Fellow of Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Kathryn Roberts is senior partner at the Cardiff office of the respected law firm Eversheds Sutherland.

She is also the office location head for the Cardiff Real Estate team, providing real estate services for some of the firm’s largest clients from the transport, energy, education and financial services sectors, among others.

One of the founding members of the Monumental Welsh Women group (which is spearheading a campaign to deliver more public art representing women in Wales), Kathryn is a Cardiff board member of the Maggie’s cancer support and information charity, sits on the CBI Council for Wales and is a member of the Thriving At Work Leadership Council, dedicated to improving mental health and wellness in the workplace through positive employer action.

A member of UK Finance, the Conveyancing Association and the Equity Release Council, Kathryn is chair of the Eversheds Sutherland Shadow International Leadership Team as well as being an Eversheds Sutherland Charitable Trust trustee and a member of the firm’s appointment panel.

A law graduate from King’s College, London, she is also passionate about the promotion of diversity, gender parity and social mobility both at Eversheds Sutherland and within the wider legal profession.

In her own words, “Business has often historically been cast as the villain, just money-grabbing. Actually, the vast majority of businesses take a great sense of responsibility. Business is part of the solution in society to levelling-up, getting a level playing field and removing barriers, whether that’s gender, age, background or race.”
