I moved from a business management position in the private sector to Cardiff University in 1996, where I spent many years in management positions supporting teaching, learning and research. I particularly enjoyed coaching and mentoring, and having harboured a lifelong dream of teaching English to adults I decided to make the move in 2013.
Following successful completion of the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS), I then went on to teach literacy and numeracy skills to adults in the community and English Skills for Life at Cardiff and Vale College. I started working in the ELTC in the summer of 2014 as a casual English Language Tutor, and I joined the core team the following spring.
In January 2017 I became ELTC Deputy Director (Maternity Cover).
