Objective 3 – Development and delivery of training with key members of staff at Vietnamese partner HEIs and CMET in AI related departments – Training

From 21st to 23rd March 2023 six members of staff from Cardiff Metropolitan University (from Global Engagement, Quality Enhancement Directorate and School of Technologies) travelled to Hanoi to deliver the first training session as part of the EQUIP project.

The training was hosted at Vietnam National University and was attended by 17 staff members from AI related departments from Hanoi University of Sciences and Technology (HUST), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) and Vietnam National University – International School (VNU-IS).

The training spanned 3 days and covered topics such as the Quality Context, Pedagogical approaches including the flipped classroom, and Project-based assessments. The training programme included theoretical sessions and practical workshop sessions where attendees could discuss their learning and ways this could be applied to their programmes. The training programme gave an opportunity to all participants to share best practice and ideas of how innovative pedagogical approaches could be used practically in the modules and programmes they lead.
