Cultural and Employability programmes

​Cardiff Met and Global Opportunities is commited to offering short-term cultural and employability programmes to students. Short-term programmes typically take place during the holidays, outside of term time and is used to enhance students’ personal understanding of a subject.

Due to the pandemic short-term programmes could be cancelled at short notice. 

 

Challenges Abroad - Cambodia

Participating on the Challenges Abroad - Cambodia programme you will be challenged to step out of your comfort zone and think creatively as you spend four weeks working on projects supporting the work of Challenges Abroad's partner charity - The Futuresense Foundation.

You will be contributing to projects in a partner schools in rural village to deliver a range of workshops that allow children to learn in a hands-on manner to inspire them to enjoy going to school. The projects you get involved with will be centered around your course and skill set. You could be working on projects related to STEM, environment, health and more.
It's not all hard work and no play! You'll have plenty of free time to explore the Battambang and ride the bambo​o train! You will also have the opportunity to visit Siem Reap and neighbouring towns and cities during your weekends. More information can be found by clicking the following link: Challenges Abroad.

Global Wales Discover - Vietnam

We are pleased to advise that an amazing opportunity has become available for Cardiff Met Welsh domiciled students to undertake a 2 week Global Opportunity to Vietnam in June 2022, travel permitting.  More information can be found by clicking the following link: GWD Vietnam

Santander - France

An opportunity has become available for Cardiff Met students to visit a partner institution - the Catholic University Lyon, France.  The trip will take place in June 2022 travel permitting under Covid, Cardiff Met and UK government guidelines.  During the week you will take part in classes, workshops and cultural activities.
