Students who have the following qualifications may be considered for direct entry onto relevant schemes at Cardiff Metropolitan University:

Foundation Courses

General Secondary Education Certificate (Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama) with 60%+ – or any specialised Secondary Education Certificate

OR equivalent of 5 GCSEs (Grad​​e C and above) to include Maths and English

Undergraduate Courses

Diploma in Technology (from a College of Technology)

OR A-Levels and the International Baccalaureate

OR Bachelor Degree from a recognised institution in Qatar Please note that one or more years of study at a Qatari University may be considered for a transfer onto Year One or Two or Three of an undergraduate degree – please contact us for further details

Postgraduate Courses

A Bachelor degree with good grades from a university in Qatar OR Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in the UK

OR Masters degree

IELTS 4.5 (4.0 in each area) is required for International Foundation course

IELTS score of 6.0 (5.5 in each area) is required for Undergraduate Courses (inc Year 0) and Postgraduate Courses*​

*Some courses may require a higher grade in English or IELTS
