Students who have the following qualifications may be considered for direct entry onto relevant schemes at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Foundation Courses

International Foundation: Baccalauréat General / Baccalaueat Technique with grade of 12 or above plus UKVI IELTS of 4.5

Foundation (with pathways): Baccalauréat General / Baccalaueat Technique with grade of 12 or above plus IELTS of 6.0

Undergraduate Courses

French Baccalaureate (Baccalauréat Général) / Diplôme de Technicien Supérieur / Diplôme with average grade of 13 or above

Diploma of Technical Licence / Licence Technique / Universitaire de Technologie with average grade of 13 or above

A-Levels or IB Diploma with required UCAS points for your chosen course

OR

American High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 (Grade B average) plus either:

  • SAT combined score of 1100 or above (6 in essay) OR
  • ACT (American College Test) score of 20 OR
  • Advanced Placement Tests with grade 3 and above in at least 2 relevant subjects

Postgraduate Courses

A 4 year Bachelors degree with average grade 12 or above

A 3 or 4 year Bachelor degree/Licence from American University of Beirut or Beirut Arab University with a grade of 70% or above

Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to PhD studies

*Please note that some courses may have additional requirements (i.e. portfolio for Art & Design programmes, 6.5 IELTS etc)

Undergraduate scholarship - £1200 per year

​Vice Chancellor Scholarship - £1500
