Students who have the following qualifications may be considered for direct entry onto relevant schemes at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Foundation Courses ​

Applicants who have an average grade 5 or above in the Zambia School Certificate and have an IELTS 6.​0 or equivalent will be considered for a Foundation Year Programme and those with a UKVI IELTS 4.5​ will considered for the International Foundation Course

Undergraduate Courses

For applicants who follow A-Level or IB Diploma curriculum

Applicants who have a post-secondary diploma will be considered for advance entry to year 2/3 of a relevant degree programme on a case by case basis

Postgraduate Courses

Students with a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in Zambia with equivalent to 2:2 Second Lower class

OR masters degree will be considered for masters programme entry

Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies

Proficiency in English is essential for undergraduate study. If applicants first language is not English we would expect the applicant to have one of the following English language qualifications:

Zambia School Certificate grade 5

GCSE/O-Level English grade C or above

IELTS 4.5 (4.0 in each area) is required for International Foundation course

IELTS score of 6.0 (5.5 in each area) is required for Undergraduate Courses (inc Year 0) and Postgraduate Courses*​

*Some courses may require a higher grade in English or IELTS
