Staff Overview

Dr Clement Lamboi Arthur is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting. Before joining the Cardiff Metropolitan University, Clement worked as senior lecturer at University of Cape Coast, Ghana and University of Derby, UK for over thirteen and two years respectively.

Clement had his MBA and PhD from University of Hull, UK and Leeds Beckett University, UK respectively. He is passionate for research with prolific research outcomes. He has published in many journals including International Journal of Accounting, Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society, The Chinese Economy, Research in International Business etc. Clement has edited and peer-reviewed many publications, and his research interests includes Sustainability reporting, CSR, Corporate governance, and accounting research in general. He has also authored of four modules textbooks in Financial Reporting, Auditing and Assurance and research books in sustainability reporting in Ghana for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Teaching

I have taught many modules in Accounting and Finance both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level over the periods including Advanced Audit and Assurance, International Finance, Financial Reporting, Cost Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Mergers and Acquisition, Financial and Strategic Performance Management, and Sustainability, Governance and Audit, and Financial Reporting (ACCA). Currently, Clement is teaching Management Accounting, Financial Management, Finance for Entrepreneurs, Accounting for Decision Makers, and Management of Finance.

I have also supervised a substantial number of undergraduate projects, dissertations, and MPhil Thesis to completion over the period. I have supervised two doctoral students to completion and currently supervising two other students at various levels of completion from my formal University. My research expertise and interest include sustainability reporting, CSR, corporate governance, auditing, and ethical issues in accounting.

Research

Clement is passionate for research with prolific research outcomes. He has published in national and international journals including International Journal of Accounting, Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society, The Chinese Economy, Research in International Business etc. His multidisciplinary research areas span Financial Reporting, IFRS, Sustainability and Environmental Reporting, CSR, Corporate Governance using diversified research methods (quantitative, and case studies).
