Teaching

Research

My research focuses on the nature, content, and evolution of interorganizational networks in high technology environments. Through detailed field studies in the European motorsport industry (including Formula 1, Le Mans, Nascar and Indy racing) combining historical, retrospective, real time data and theoretical insights, I try to understand (1) how do interorganizational networks evolve over time, (2) what are the drivers of network dynamics, and (3) how do companies promote network diversity and recombinant innovation in order to achieve higher performance. In addressing these questions, I challenge existing theory and offer insights about how different network architectures, entrepreneurial ventures and contexts may enable managers to execute heterogeneous opportunities.
