Staff Overview

Gary began his academic career in 2012 and joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2014.

Prior to this, Gary held leadership roles within the public sector, in both the NHS and local government, working on, and leading, a number of service development and modernisation programmes in England and Wales.

Gary also has third sector experience working for a registered charity supporting economic regeneration. He has also led a number of social enterprises.

Teaching

​Gary teaches at undergraduate and post graduate levels, and is module leader for modules at levels 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Gary supervises Masters level dissertations for the MSc International Business Management degree and has also supervised launching an enterprise project for undergraduate BA (Hons) Business and Management degree students.

Research

​Gary’s research interests lie in the public, private and third sector interface and particularly the work and contribution of social enterprises. Gary is currently undertaking a Doctor of Management, the focus of research being community asset transfers in Wales.
