Staff Overview

Kathryn Lewis is a lecturer in Fashion Marketing. Kathryn began her career with a 1st class BA (hons) in Fashion Design. During her undergraduate degree she was awarded ‘Graduate Collection of the Year’ and ‘Most Innovative Designer’.

Kathryn has completed a Postgraduate in Education and Training with experience in teaching in both further and higher education. Her MA is in Visual Communication and research focuses on sustainable fashion and digital culture.

Kathryn began her career as a visual merchandiser for an international high street retailer. She later worked in online content and site optimisation at for a global fashion retailer where she managed the online merchandising, search pages and key trend content for multiple global territories. Her experience in the fashion industry varies from Ecommerce, Digital Marketing and brand management to PR and Communication.

Teaching

Kathryn’s passion lies within innovative teaching methods and student engagement in the learning environment. Within her teaching she has led on modules across the BA and MSc structure – primarily within Creative Direction, Fashion Journalism, Strategic Fashion Brand Management and Sustainability and Responsibility in Fashion.
