Staff Overview

​I am a qualified solicitor and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. I have worked in legal practice since 2004 and have been lecturing since 2016. My areas of practice include residential and commercial property, new build developments, wills, probate, and lasting powers of attorney.

I am a Welsh speaker and welcome correspondence in both Welsh and English.

Teaching

​Currently I am the module leader for English Legal System and Skills and Legal Practice and Client Management. I have extensive experience in teaching land law, equity and trusts, legal skills, and administration of estates.  I have also supervised undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. 

Research

​My research interests include the role and impact of pro bono work in law firms, human rights, and access to justice.

I regularly give talks and podcasts to Law Societies and legal recruiters across England and Wales.

I am a Co-Lead Assessor for the CILEX Paralegal Apprenticeship in England and am involved in the design of the new pathway set to be introduced in 2024. 

I am also an Assessor on the CILEX Lawyer Apprenticeship programme in England. 

I am an external assessor on various professional qualifications for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

I am also a supervision and practitioner authorisation officer for CILEX Regulation. 

I regularly consult as a solicitor at various law firms across South Wales.
