Staff Overview

​​​Following twelve years of entrepreneurship, Zoe decided to pursue a career in academia within enterprise education, joining the Cardiff Metropolitan University team in 2018 on a part-time basis and becoming full-time in 2022. She has previously taught at Cardiff University, the University of South Wales, and the University of Wolverhampton.

She has also previously worked in extra-curricular enterprise education within FE colleges, supporting students with setting up their own businesses, and being part of the Welsh Government Enterprise Champion delivery team for the national award-winning ‘Summer Start-Up Week’ in 2020 and 2021.

Zoe has experience in both undergraduate and post-graduate curriculum design and delivery in Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Entrepreneurial Finance, HRM, and Public Sector Business Case Creation.

Following on from her Master’s in HRM, and PgCE (PCET), she is now embarking upon Doctoral studies, with particular research interest in the relationship between entrepreneurial pedagogy and employability outcomes.​

Teaching

​​Zoe teaches across disciplines within the business school, including Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, and HRM.

In previous years she has led the core level 5 module ‘Ethical and Sustainable Business Practices’, and level 6 ‘Leading Change for Sustainability’. Currently she is module leading level 6 ‘Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Culture’, and level 6 ‘Global Talent Management’, whilst also teaching on level 5 ‘Creativity and Innovation’ and level 6 ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’.

Supervision includes level 6 BA (Hons) Business & Management dissertations, and level 7 MSc HRM Dissertations.
