Staff Overview

I’m originally from France and came to the UK to study languages and Business Studies at University. After finishing my degree, I worked in hospitality in Germany for several years. That triggered my interest in tourism, so I did an MSc in Tourism Management when I returned to the UK. After that, I worked for destination management organisations for over 10 years before becoming a lecturer. My previous roles involved working closely with many small tourism businesses and on large digital marketing projects. I feel passionate about both of these areas as they are what drives a vibrant, sustainable, and resilient tourism industry.

Teaching

I teach on a range of modules including Visitor Attractions Management, Diversity, field study, marketing, public relations and digital marketing. I also lecture on the hospitality and events programmes.

I supervise Undergraduate and MSc dissertation projects.

Research

2021: Exploring UK media’s influences on public perceptions of LGBTQIA+ representations at Pride festivals.
