Cardiff Metropolitan University joins forces with Benchmark54

Cardiff Met Sport has partnered with Benchmark54, a leading sports science and technology company, as part of its ongoing commitment to support athletes in Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Performance Programmes.

The collaboration will see the Physiotherapy team at Cardiff Met Sport utilising Benchmark54’s state-of-the-art technology to manage athlete medical records, track training and match activity, manage workload, monitor and measure athlete development, and analyse injury information.

Richard Williams, Cardiff Met University’s Head of Physiotherapy said: “By using the advanced capabilities of Benchmark54, the team will be able to effectively evaluate players and provide improved guidance to reduce injury rates, optimise performance, enhance overall player, and team performance. The physio team and I are excited to start working with the new technology.”

This partnership marks a significant step towards realising Cardiff Met Sport’s vision of providing world-class support to their student-athletes.
