Lewis’ expertise in the early identification of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) led to her appointment to establish a national Diabetic foot screening programme in Mauritius that resulted in the training of 78 nurses across 149 centres and 239,888 screenings between 2016 and 2019.
