​Huw He has made a significant contribution to Learning and Teaching within the School over the last fifteen years as an Undergraduate Programme Coordinator and Programme Director at both Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels. 

He has a proven track record within high performance sport as a Performance Manager and Fitness Coach with two National Governing bodies in Europe. Huw is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

My research interests include Multidisciplinary Performance Analysis, Performance Management in High Performance sport, and the use of Feedback within the Analysis and Management of Performance.

Teaching and Supervision

I have delivered performance analysis, sports coaching, leadership and management, and sport science to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate sports courses. I have supervised a substantial number of postgraduate and undergraduate research projects in a range of disciplines. My current teaching delivery revolves around performance analysis and management due to the senior management role that I hold within the school.

Previous Learning and Teaching roles include: Undergraduate Programmes Coordinator, Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programme Director, Discipline Director and Module Leader. Previous External Examiner Roles at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and Reading University.

Huw has recently designed a new WRU Elite Level 4 Coach Award programme. He also made a successful presentation to Sports Coach UK that means Cardiff Metropolitan University are one of only three universities nationwide accredited to work with governing bodies of sport to deliver UKCC Level 4 coaching programmes.
