The Welsh Postgraduate Taught Master's Incentivisation Bursary is available to those who are studying STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) subjects, undertaking courses in the medium of Welsh or are over 60 years of age.
Students must be Home/EU and ordinarily resident in Wales entering a taught Master's programme at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The award will provide tuition-fee remission up to £7,000.
Award Package
The award provides students with tuition-fee remission and is
not a cash award:
£1000 for those undertaking a course in the medium of Welsh (minimum 40 Credits within any given course, browse our Welsh taught Master's here), and or;
£2000 for those undertaking a course in a STEMM subject (browse our STEMM courses here), and or;
£4000 for those who are 60 years of age and over.

Eligibility

Students must be Home/EU and ordinarily resident in Wales entering a taught Master's programme at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the academic year beginning in 2021/22.

Those who are undertaking NHS-funded, PGCE, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate or Distance Learning courses are ineligible for this award.
If you already hold a Masters equivalent course or higher degree, you are ineligible for this award.

Eligibility will be assessed automatically following your application to study with us at Cardiff Metropolitan University. There is no separate application process to undertake in order to be considered for this award.
