Making the Most
of Sixth Form


Aimed at Year 12 students, the session looks at different activities that students can focus on to ensure a smooth transition from Year 11 into sixth form. We will also discuss future degree and career opportunities that the students can look into.

STATEMENTS


The Personal Statement workshop is aimed at Year 13 students, but can be booked for Year 12 students in the Summer Term. We will discuss the process of writing the key sections of a personal statement - we will also analyse examples of past personal statements to help.

CHOOSING YOUR COURSE
AND UNIVERSITY


The Choosing Your Course & University session has been developed for Year 12 students. We'll be looking at research techniques as well as discussing what students want to do at University, where they'd like to study and how long they'd like to study for. We offer a Q&A slot at the end of the session should students have any pressing questions.

HIGHER EDUCATION


Why bother with HE is great for Year 12 students and parents - we discuss the motivation points of why students should consider going to University and the benefits of studying a degree.

FOR UNI


The Get Ready for Uni is aimed at Year 13 students and parents. The session is designed to make sure students are fully aware of all the things they need to do, to prepare them for University in September. We will discuss Student Finance, Student Accommodation and Student Life as well as offering a Q&A at the end of the session for those pressing questions.

& WELLBEING


Delivered in partnership with our student ambassadors - the Mental Health & Wellbeing session aims to raise awareness and provide strategies for students to use to ensure they maintain their wellbeing throughout their time in sixth form and university.
