Dr Abdelrahman Abuarqoub is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Security at Cardiff School of Technologies, Cardiff Metropolitan University. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2014, and his MSc (Distinction) in Data Telecommunications and Networks from the University of Salford in 2011.

He has been a guest editor and an active member of the technical program committee on many international conferences and leading journals (IEEE TSUSC, IEEE Access, MTAP-Springer, JOMS-Springer). His research work is published in various renowned journals and magazines of Elsevier, IEEE, Springer, and ACM. 


​My teaching experience has covered a wide range of topics in computer science including the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Information and Networks Security, Network Administration and Management, Wireless and Mobile Communications, Digital Logic Design, and Pervasive Computing.


​My research interests are in distributed algorithms, ubiquitous and mobile computing, communication, authentication techniques and privacy issues in IoT. My central research focus is the use of artificial intelligence for optimizing performance and energy consumption in ad hoc wireless and mobile networks, resource allocation, data collection and routing, and distributed storage.
