Staff Overview

​Shadan Khan Khattak joined the Cardiff School of Technologies as a Senior Lecturer in November 2020. His specialization is in Multimedia Communication and Signal Processing. Before joining Cardiff Met, he worked as an Assistant Professor in King Faisal University, Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan, from 2014 to 2017. From 2017 to 2018, Shadan worked as an R&D Engineer at Panasonic R&D Centre Singapore. Shadan’s research interests are in image and video communication. He has several publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences in these areas including the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Signal Processing: Image Communication, and the Picture Coding Symposium. He is a member of IEEE and is a reviewer for several reputed peer-reviewed journals.
