Artificial Intelligence is transforming how universities teach, learn and work. At Cardiff Metropolitan University, we are committed to supporting the responsible, ethical and purposeful use of AI across our community.
The AI Staff Hub is our internal space for guidance, tools and professional development opportunities designed specifically for Cardiff Met colleagues. It helps staff make confident, informed decisions about AI and ensures its use aligns with our mission, values, and commitment to academic integrity.
What the Internal AI Staff Hub Provides
Staff who access the internal hub will find:
- Practical guidance on using AI in day-to-day work, teaching and learning, research, assessment, and administrative tasks.
- Information on data protection, ethics and responsible use, helping colleagues navigate risks and comply with institutional standards.
- Cardiff Met–approved AI tools and applications, clearly signposted and explained.
- Training, learning materials and workshops, including online modules, short courses and skill building opportunities.
- Case studies and examples showing how colleagues across the University are using AI effectively.
- An opportunity for staff to contribute prompts and use cases, to help develop an internal library of useful content.
- Links to trusted external resources and sector insights, keeping colleagues up to date with developments in AI in higher education.
