Open to Members and Non members. 

Simply hit 'Join Us' on the 'Cardiff Met Sport App' and set up a 'Pay as you go' profile.

  • Classes are suitable for all levels of ability.
  • Participants must be 16 years old or over (unless stated otherwise in class descriptions).  
  • Please advise the Instructor if you have any medical conditions which could affect your ability to exercise.
  • Classes are cancelled on bank holidays.

Class Descriptions


Wattbike is the most advanced indoor cycling bike on the market allowing you to completely personalise your training to your current fitness level giving you the most efficient and productive use of your time. If you want an individualised training session from an instructor in a group environment then this class is for you!


Bootcamp is a fun class aimed at strength, cardiovascular, muscular endurance, flexibility, core and functional movement patterns. The bootcamps are designed in a way to keep you guessing and challenge you in every class. Bootcamps can be indoors and outdoors and use a variety of equipment such as kettlebells, medicine balls, powerbags and battling ropes.


Box HIIT is a fun and energetic class. The class is a mix of boxercise (pad work, skipping) along with HIIT type of stations (High Intensity Interval Training). Put your conditioning to the test with this full body workout specifically designed to get your heart racing.


These classes are suitable for all levels of abilities and combine specific postural positions, breathing techniques and mindfulness to encourage release and relaxation in the body and mind. These sessions use exercises that focus on strength, flexibility and breathing which is sure to boost physical and mental wellbeing.


Circuits is a class that is conducted using various different equipment within a gym environment. The circuits include a combination of cardiovascular machines, resistance machines and body weight exercises. It is a perfect class for those who are lacking motivation in the gym and need new ideas. 


Resistance training class where an instructor will create and guide you through individualised training sessions based on experience and ability.  There will be a mixture of resistance machines, free weights and bodyweight exercises which will be created dependant on your ability and experience.  If you go to the gym and don't really know what you're doing or why you're doing it then this class is for you. 


Our Kettlebell class will provide members with help and guidance to learn new kettlebell movements, within a fun and enjoyable, yet challenging format.


An indoor cycling workout in sequence with motivating music. Members can burn up to 620 calories per workout, through a training session that will allow them to get fit fast. This class will provide basic cycling movements, whether that be standing up, sitting down, changing speed and changing hand position. A great way to way to build up a sense of your own personal achievement that is set at your own pace. 


A relaxed class that welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. The Met Mile is a simple one-mile-long course around the university campus that offers people the chance to get together and converse whilst walking. An initiative that allows people to talk about their daily lives and make friends along the way! This class is completelyfree to everyone whether you're a member or not so there's no excuse to not go that extra mile! 


The beginner's strength class is for inexperienced individuals who are interested in resistance training. This class will include a mixture of beginner and easy to complete movements which cover free weight, body weight and resistance machine exercises.
