Cardiff School of Management is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to offer a wide range of CIM qualifications. CIM is the largest internationally recognised marketing professional body, with more than 30,000 members. CIM qualifications are created by marketing professionals to enhance careers by staying up to date with new and emerging marketing trends, making the CIM, a sought-after qualification by employers.
The School currently offers the CIM Certificates in Professional Marketing and Professional Digital Marketing as well as the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing and Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing:
The Certificate in Professional Marketing (Level 4) provides insight into customer behaviour, allowing you to devise integrated marketing communication strategies to enrich the customer experience.
The Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing (Level 4) focuses on the ever-evolving, dynamic digital landscape through exploring the challenges and opportunities within the digital environment and uses of a range of tools to plan how to enhance an organisation’s effectiveness in the digital age.
The Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6) focuses on the strategic marketing planning process, giving you the ability to evaluate success through key marketing metrics and identify insights to drive informed decisions. It is considered equivalent to an undergraduate degree.
The Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing (Level 6) focuses on understanding how to improve the entire digital experience and optimise all channels whilst gaining insights to make informed strategic decisions.
The Diploma in Sustainable Marketing (Level 6) focuses on how marketing can lead and implement the response to the sustainability challenges faced.

Each module is delivered via 4-days of face-to-face teaching (supported by a variety of online and library resources). All students will have access to the CIM published module eBooks for each of the mandatory modules, plus 1 x 3-hours assessment support session and the allocation of a personal tutor to assist in resolving any study related queries.

Entry Requirements
CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing and Professional Digital Marketing:
Applicants should typically have one of the following:
CIM Level 3 Introductory Certificate in Marketing.
CIM Foundation Certificate in Marketing.
Any relevant Level 3 qualification.
Any UK degree or international equivalent.
International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above).
Professional practice (suggested one year in a marketing role) will be considered.
CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing, Professional Digital Marketing and Sustainable Marketing:
CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing or Professional Digital Marketing.
Foundation Degree in Business with Marketing.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognised university, with at least one third of credits coming from marketing content (i.e., 120 credits in bachelor’s degree or 60 credits in master’s degree).
Professional practice (suggested two years marketing in an operational role) will also be considered.
