In Conversation With
Our podcast gives students the platform to do what great researchers should – talk about their work.
In conversation with academics, students across every discipline share the thinking behind their research. From the interior design of prisons and gen-z consumer behaviour to the loss of ancient craftsmanship and greenwashing, it’s a window into the depth, critical thinking, and ambition of our students.
Each year, we bring our degree show to the city. Student work from every programme takes over outdoor billboards for two weeks, placing graduate creativity in real-world context.
It's more than an exhibition. It’s part of our commitment to connect students with the real world, and with the communities and spaces that shape creative practice.
The Helen Gregory Memorial Award honours the legacy of Helen Gregory, a former student whose life was cut short in 1988 by her murder whilst backpacking in Thailand.
The Gregory family chose to bestow the university with a fund to commemorate her time here, financing a number of annual student prizes in perpetuity. These have been awarded each year since 1989, with the 2025 purchase prize awarded to Flea Spiers.
