Dr Nasir Aminu

Senior Lecturer in Economics and Finance

Overview

Dr Aminu completed his PhD in 2015 and received his award in 2016 from Cardiff University.

He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Economics and Finance and a Senior Fellow of Advanced Higher Education.

He is a macroeconomist with academic interests in public policy, macrofinance, and energy economics.

He is currently Cardiff School of Management’s research ethics Coordinator. His previous management positions include Programme Director of all Economic programmes, which held the position for four years. He was also the collaborative provision Field Group Chair of Economics for three years.

He is the external examiner at the University of Wolverhampton for their undergraduate economics programmes. He performs similar duty at the University of Portsmouth for their postgraduate programmes. At the University of West Scotland, he assesses the Doctoral Supervisory Team.

Before joining Cardiff Metropolitan University, he worked as a Teaching Associate at Cardiff University, where he still visits.
