Enrolment Information

In order to self-enrol your status with Cardiff Met must be Unconditional Firm (UF) and you will be sent a notification email to confirm you are able to proceed.

Following enrolment, postgraduate research degree students will receive access to dedicated study and networking spaces on campus and staff facilities/resources to aid their research. 

Induction and Joining Information

Please notify your Director of Studies once you have enrolled and you will be provided with further joining information.

All new postgraduate researchers enrolling in 2025-26 are expected to attend an informal ‘Meet & Greet’ session followed by a more formal Induction. The ‘Meet & Greet’ will provide you with an opportunity to engage with key members of staff from the Graduate Studies team who will be involved with your research degree journey. Induction will introduce you to key topics which are relevant to the initial stages of your postgraduate researcher study.

Start dates 2025/26:

  • 30 September 2025: Enrolment and Meet & Greet, followed by Induction on the week commencing 13 October 2025
  • 30 January 2026: Enrolment and Meet & Greet, followed by Induction on the week commencing 9 February 2026
  • 30 April 2026: Enrolment and Meet & Greet, followed by Induction on the week commencing 11 April 2026

The Doctoral Academy

Once you have enrolled you will be provided with access to Cardiff Met’s Doctoral Academy. The Doctoral Academy is a one-stop shop for postgraduate research degree students and their Supervisors and contains:
