Welcome Week information

Welcome Week, which starts on Monday, 22 September, offers a series of activities and events designed to help you get to know Cardiff Met, engage with your programme of study, and forge connections with staff and fellow students, ensuring you settle into your academic journey from day one. You’ll also have time to explore your new home city.

We will have Welcome Week hubs on campus, which will be the place to go to find out everything you need to know and where we will answer any question you might have. There will also be staff and student ambassadors all over campus to support you.

The hubs will be open from 9am to 4pm on Monday 22 September through to Friday, 26 September. Please note though that the Llandaff Campus hub will close on Wednesday, September 24 as all activity moves to Cyncoed for the Students’ Union’s Freshers’ Fayre. That’s not to be missed!

There will be the opportunity to take part in a range of activities – some social and some which will provide you with a taste of what you can expect during your studies at Cardiff Met.
