Biomedical Science Laboratories

The biomedical science teaching laboratories are large, modern, and well-equipped, allowing you to develop key competencies aligned with accreditation requirements. Practical sessions cover microbiology, immunology, blood sciences, molecular biology, and genetics. Media screens and audio setups enable interactive learning between staff and students, ensuring an excellent learning experience in all lab sessions.

The Health Assessment Suite focuses on physiological assessments using advanced techniques like blood pressure measurement, arterial stiffness analysis, pulse oximetry, ultrasound imaging, spirometry, and exercise testing.

Our Facilities

Allied Clinical Health Hub

The Allied Clinical Health Hub is a purpose-built teaching facility that supports interprofessional learning across multiple health disciplines. It provides advanced simulation suites, consultation and treatment rooms, and outpatient-style spaces that replicate real clinical environments. You’ll use the Hub for realistic patient simulations, case work, and supervised clinical practice while working with peers to deliver healthcare experiences to the local community.

Cardiff Met currently provides Healthcare programmes that have been commissioned by Health Education Improvement Wales (HEIW). Funding is available for students studying Healthcare Science (Life Sciences).
