What We Offer

Make a difference to communities and wider society with our forward-thinking Sociology, Social Work & Policy degrees at Cardiff Met.

We’ll develop your skills, knowledge and confidence in your chosen subject and career aspirations – from working in the health and social care sector or becoming a political adviser or sociologist, to qualifying as a professional Social Worker or Youth and Community Worker. Flexible full-time and part-time study options, including Foundation, HND, BA/BSc degrees are available.

Practical Learning

Employability and work-based learning is embedded into our degrees. From work placements and practice learning opportunities, to working on live briefs set by industry, as well as optional voluntary work experiences and travelling abroad with Global Opportunities.

Professional & Accredited Degrees

All our courses are developed in conjunction with industry, professional bodies, service user groups and academic experts, with our Social Work and Youth & Community Work degrees being accredited by Social Care Wales, and the Education Training Standards Cymru/Wales (ETS).

You will be taught by visiting guest speakers and research active teaching staff who have substantial professional expertise, plus you will have the opportunity to develop crucial industry networking contacts during your time with us.
