Cardiff Met Junior Sport Camps operate a strict registration procedure whereby parents are required to sign their child(ren) into and out of camp daily. If any adult other than the adult who signs the child into camp is collecting, staff must be advised of this when the child is signed in and a password must be given by the parent, to the staff and to the adult who is collecting the child.

The manager reserves the right to retain a child on the premises if unable to identify with the person collecting, or without any form of written consent to release the child(ren) from the programme. In this case, the parent will be contacted prior to releasing any child(ren). It is important that a member of staff is informed in the morning if you are not collecting your child at the end of the day. Please remember to sign the register and arrange for a password to be used on collection.

Where you would like for your child(ren) to sign in and out without parent/guardian present, we require a written letter to be presented to our staff, signed, and verified by the parent/guardian.

This self-sign in / out procedure is only available for children aged 11+.

Photography and Marketing

Cardiff Met Sport require consent from parents / guardians for the participants to have photos taken to be used in the marketing and photography of our junior sport camps. Please ensure that you have completed your preferences in our registration form. These photos will be made available of our activities and your child’s participation will be available for parents after the camps have concluded – this will be sent out to all participants (consented) via email. Where children aren't allowed photos, our staff will allocate the participant a no consent wrist band. Any children with no consent bands won’t be added to our shared photograph folder.

Food and Drink

No Food or drink is supplied within the Cardiff Met Junior Sport Camps. There are drinks and snack machines on site at Cardiff Met (but are not controlled by the University). Children are also welcome to use the cafes on campus, please note they are all card payment only.

Please be prepared for all weather conditions, especially if your child is attending a camp which will use outdoor facilities. Items such as a waterproof jacket, spare socks, sun cream, sun hat are important to consider.
