Tuition Fees

Find tuition fee information for undergraduate, postgraduate taught, postgraduate research and international students. Learn how fees are set, what they include, and how your fee status is determined.

Additional Course Costs

Additional costs are the mandatory or optional expenses, in addition to tuition fees, that need to be paid for by students to fully participate and complete their studies. This covers such things as equipment, trips, placements, and DBS checks.

A small number of our courses have additional costs involved, which vary depending on the level of study and how long you are joining us for.

How are my fees calculated?

See information on how we calculate fees for home and international students studying at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Fee Status Assessments

Cardiff Metropolitan University uses the information that you provide in your application form to determine the level of fees you will be charged for your chosen course. We call this your Fee Status and we classify students as either Home or International.

Fee Waivers

With the support of the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research (Medr), we are offering a fee waiver scheme (subject to availability) to support part-time undergraduate students who would not otherwise have access to higher education. Eligible students will have their course fees paid by Medr.
