All of the schemes listed on our Bursaries and Scholarships web pages are for Home fee status students only (with the exception of the International Scholarship scheme of the Sports Scholarships, and the Sanctuary Award). The Cardiff Met Sanctuary Award is aimed at people who have an irregular migration status, such as asylum seekers and refugees, to provide opportunities for equal access to Higher Education. If you are facing financial difficulties, we have designated Advisers within our Money Advice Team who are able to offer advice on funding, budgeting and money management, and financial support.

Due to start a Masters or PhD with us but need a helping hand funding your programme?

There are two awards up for grabs, one for a student starting a Masters, and the other for a soon-to-be PhD candidate. The winners will each receive £6,000 towards the cost of their course. 

Applying is simple – just head over to the FindAMasters or FindAPhD website to write a 200-word statement explaining why you’re deserving of the award. 

The deadline is 1st September 2022. 


Only for Professional Policing Degree students 

The South Wales Police PPD (Professional Policing Degree) Bursary offers a offers a maximum of £4,000 to cover pre-application, study through years 1-3 on a Professional Policing Degree at one of the named Universities within the Terms of Reference and then application to South Wales Police. 

Applications will start to be reviewed commencing 1st October.




Complaints

Cardiff Metropolitan University aims to ensure that information provided to applicants on procedures is as detailed and accurate as possible. Cardiff Metropolitan University regularly reviews and monitors all matters to ensure that the process is as fair and transparent as possible.
