​​​Cardiff Metropolitan University has created a range of bursary and scholarship schemes to assist with the cost of studying at university.

All of the schemes listed on our Bursaries and Scholarships web pages are for Home fee status students only (with the exemption of International Scholarship scheme of the Sports Scholarships).

If you are facing financial difficulties, we have designated Advisers within our Money Advice Team who are able to offer advice on funding, budgeting and money management and financial support.

 

Other External Bursary Options

Outside of Cardiff Met, there may be funding options available for you depending on your individual circumstances. We have listed below some of the options we have found available:

Cardiff Community Endowment Fund - up to £500 for individuals in need.

Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol - applicants choosing to study through the medium of Welsh.

Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust - up to £3000 per annum towards the cost of an undergraduate degree.

NHS Wales Bursary Scheme - provides tuition fees and bursary support for those studying health associated courses in Wales.

St Matthias Trust - up to £10,000 for applicants who are, or intend to become, engaged in social welfare work as social workers, community workers, youth workers, teachers, supervisors of pre-school groups or music/other arts.

Cardiff Metropolitan University aims to ensure that information provided to applicants on procedures is as detailed and accurate as possible. Cardiff Metropolitan University regularly reviews and monitors all matters to ensure that the process is as fair and transparent as possible.
