“The modules studied throughout the Fashion Marketing Management course encouraged exploring different realms of the industry, leading me to uncover a profound connection to the world of luxury fashion. This sector’s meticulous craftsmanship, rich heritage, and undeniable elegance resonated with me. During my year in industry, I explored this by securing a placement at Christian Dior, where I delved deeper into exploring my passion. This invaluable experience has paved the way for me to embark on a graduate role, further enhancing my skills and expanding my knowledge in this exciting field.”

“For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of studying fashion. I chose to study Fashion Buying and Brand Management at Cardiff Met because of the opportunity to do a placement year between second and third year, which would lead me to gain invaluable experience, setting me apart from other fashion buying graduates. I applied for various placement year internships and became Buying Intern for The Very Group in Liverpool. I was also lucky enough to intern in New York City over the summer with Adore Me as part of their creation team. Both of these internships massively supported my work in the final year of my studies and helped me to contextualise the theory I was learning. I can proudly say this has led me to receive a First in my degree! And, I have since accepted my dream job role as Assistant Buyer for Ralph Lauren and will be relocating to central London!”

“From inspirational trips which offered a look into the Fashion industry to strengthening my online presence and a look into how I can reach my potential, there are no shortage of opportunities here at Cardiff Met. Ultimately the last three years have allowed me to grow beyond my imagination, more than just academically. One way I’m able to show off my growth is through the graduate showcase which allows all the Fashion Management students to show off their best work.”
